Union Minister of State for the Department of Space has announced that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will target the launch of its third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3 in August 2022.
The third mission will carry only a modified lander and rover and will use the orbiter of the Chandrayaan-2 mission to communicate with the earth.
A total of 19 missions are planned from January to December 2021, including eight ‘ Launch Vehicle Missions’, seven ‘Spacecraft Missions’, and four ‘Technology Demonstrator Missions’.
