‘Covid explosion’ in China, alert Delhi

Couldn’t stay safe anymore. Corona has exploded again. Hospitals in China have been overflowing with patients since the lockdown was eased. Experts fear that more than 60 percent of China and about 10 percent of the world’s citizens may be infected with Covid in the next 90 days.

The Chinese government is tight-lipped about this. But the Ministry of Health of India is quite concerned about this. According to the Union Health Minister, due to the recent increase in Covid in Japan, America, South Korea, Brazil, and China, special emphasis needs to be given to genome sequencing of infected samples so that new variants of the virus can be identified quickly. So arrangements will be made to send as many samples as possible to the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomic Consortium every day. According to the Union Health Ministry, these five-step measures – testing, identification, treatment, vaccination, and Covid regulations – have helped a lot in India’s prevention of infection. Around 35 lakh people are still being infected every week in the world. In this situation, it is very important to keep track of how the virus variants are changing in addition to preventing infection.

A few days after Christmas and English New Year, street- restaurants get crowded. But a large section of the Indian population has not yet taken  Booster Dose. Many have given up wearing masks. Doctors said that the condition of covid in different countries is getting worse again. Although the number of infected people in India is apparently low, there is a possibility of corona strike at any moment.

Much of the world does not know the true number of deaths due to corona in China published by the media. But according to experts, many people in China have not developed a normal immune system due to being confined to their homes for a long time. Survey says death toll rises in China. Beijing in particular is a prime example in this regard.

India as well as the whole world should keep a close eye on this situation and keep people’s livelihoods intact so that it does not turn into an epidemic.
